RPCAU, Pusa embraced with natural beauty and owes its root to 1908 when Post-Graduate education in Agricuture in our country was initiated. The University was accorded Central University status on October 7, 2016 by the conversion of erstwhile Rajendra Agriculture University, Pusa and a hub of professional courses ranging from Agriculture, Management, Bio-Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Fisheries, Horticulture and Community Science. The University has transformed the perception of agriculture education in terms of its quality, holistic, personality development of students along with facilities and opportunities. Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa is well connected by road, rail and air. The nearest railway stations are Samastipur Jn(SPJ) 20km away and Muzaffarpur Jn(MFP) 35km away, where all major trains stop.

How to reach Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa (Bihar)
By Rail
Those coming from other states by train, should get down at the Samastipur Junction Railway Station, and come out from Platform No. 7 (Back Side) and take a rickshaw for Samastipur Bus Stand( distance between Samastipur Junction Railway Station and Samastipur Bus Stand is around 2 km). From Samastipur Bus Stand there are multiple public transports like Buses, Private Auto Rickshaws, etc. that will take students directly to the University Campus.

Free Shuttle Bus Service in every 2 hours will be available from Samastipur Station between 7 am to 7 pm on 18th, 20th, 26th and 28th September, 2018 that will take students directly to the University Campus. For further help a RPCAU HelpdeskCounter will be available near the enquiry counter at platform No.1 between 7 am to 7 pm.

Note: For safety purpose, students reaching to the Samastipur railway station after 7pm are requested to either stay in the railway waiting room or in a hotel near to Samastipur railway station for that night and should report in the University on the next day.

By Air
Those coming by air can take a cab from Patna Airport (Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport) to the University campus. Hired Taxi/Cab are generally charging Rs. 2500 – Rs.3000 Approximately from Patna Airport (Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport)  to the University campus.

Samastipur and Muzaffarpur has good and convenient option for visitors. However, University will also provide accommodations on request on payment basis and as per availability in their Kisan Ghar, Kisan Hostel, etc.

Admission Reporting Date (UG & Ph.D):

  1.   For 1st Counselling: 18th and 20th September, 2018.
  2.   For 2nd Counselling: 26th and 28th September, 2018.
  3.   Mop-up Round: 5th October 2018.
  4.   Date of Start of Session: 3rd October, 2018.


Admission Reporting Date (Post-Graduate):

  1.   For 1st Counselling: 28th September and 1st  October, 2018.
  2.   For 2nd Counselling: 6th October and 9th  October, 2018.
  3.   Mop-up Round: Will be announced soon.

Payment Mode:

  • By Debit/ Credit Card( Kindly check the transaction limit of your debit/credit card to avoid any inconvenience.
  • By Cash:- In exceptional cases and only after the approval from competent authority.


Steps of Centralized Admission System:

Step1 Download the Student Sheet from the link given below and fill it in advance before reporting for admission.

Step 2 Walk to Counter No.1 (HelpDesk Counter) for your attendance.
Step 3 HelpDesk Counter i.e. Counter No.1 will inform you a place where you can wait for your turn for document verification.
Step 4 Walk to Counter No.2 (Document Verification Counter) for submitting the allotment letter, pre-filled student sheet mentioned in step 1 and original documents as mentioned in ICAR bulletins. Upon successful verification of allotment letter and other documents collect the signed copy of student sheet.
Step 5 With Signed copy of student sheet, walk to Counter No.3 (Fee Generation Counter) to generate your fee form. Collect the fee form (2 copies), Medical Form (2 copies).
Step 6 Walk to Counter No.4 (Fee Payment Counter) with the fee form to deposit your fees. After payment of fees, collect one copy of signed fee form along with the debit card slip.
Step 7 Walk to Counter No. 5 (Final Admission Letter) to collect the final admission letter.
Step 8 Walk to Counter No.6 (Hostel Allotment Counter) for Hostel Allotment.
Step 9 Walk to Counter No. 7 (ID Card Generation Counter) for generating student ID Card.
Step 10 Walk to Counter No. 8 (Society Registration Counter) to select any one society.
Step 11 Walk to Counter No.9 (Medical Counter for Boys) / Counter No.10 (Medical Counter for Girls) for medical checkup Submit the form in the same counter upon completion of the check-up.
Step 12 Walk to Counter No. 11 (Bank Account Opening Counter) for opening the Bank Account. Aadhaar card will facilitate you in opening your Bank Account.
Step 13 Walk to Counter No. 12 (SIM Issue Counter) for getting new SIM cards of BSNL/Jio/Airtel. Aadhaar card will facilitate you to get the SIM Card.
Step 14 Walk to Counter No.13 (Blazer and Tie Counter) for submitting size and deposition of Rs. 2000 approx. in cash.
