New initiatives at COA, Meghalaya and institution Building activities:
- Contributed building infrastructure of about 100 crores (for main building, girls and boys hostel, guest house, pre-fabricated buildings, instructional farm, dairy, goatery and vermin-compost units, Agro-meteorological observatory, laboratories, conference halls etc.)
- Initiated and Implemented 8 research projects at CoA, Kyrdemkulai as Principal Investigator (PI) of the Projects.
- Established an “Organic-based Integrated Farming System Model for livelihood Security of small and marginal farmers of NEH Regions” during 2018-21.
- Established Natural Farming System Models in 15 acres (involving Mithun, Apiary, Broom grass, Bamboo, Large cardmom, Black pepper etc.)
- Established “ COA, Meghalaya as an “Advanced Centre for Research on Organic Farming” with 200 acres of land without application of drop of chemical.
- As founder Dean, established a new College “College of Agriculture (COA), Kyrdemkulai, Meghalaya” under CAU (I) starting from scratch (open jungle, no water and no electricity supply, no boundary, no proper road and infrastructure – sitting place and toilet etc.) to till Accreditation on my efforts under all adverse situations
Impact of important work:
- Developed Integrated Farming System Model at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, which is visited by > 10.0 lakh visitors including visit of Honourable Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (GOI) on 11-10-2025, Governors, Ministers, RMPs, Foreign delegates and Ministers, Students and farmers.
